Rep. Wortz honors Coldwater Director of Police and Fire Safety Joe Scheid

State Rep. Jennifer Wortz today honored the legacy of Coldwater Director of Police and Fire Safety Joe Scheid after his sudden passing on Monday evening.

“I was saddened to hear the news of Joe this morning. We have lost an instrumental community leader,” said Wortz (R-Quincy). “Joe began working with the Coldwater Police Department in 1996, and he has given the community of Coldwater three decades of dedicated public service. We will never be able to pay back that debt, but we can make sure that his impact on the community is recognized and honored accordingly. Our prayers go out to his family during this difficult time.”

Scheid is survived by his wife Jodie and two daughters.
