State Rep. Brad Paquette, of Berrien Springs, was joined at the state Capitol today by members of the Berrien County Clerks’ Association (BCCA).
The BCCA travelled to Lansing to meet with legislators including Rep. Paquette, Rep. Pauline Wendzel, and Sen. Kim LaSata. Rep. Paquette also showed the clerks around the Capitol, including taking them onto the floor of the Michigan House of Representatives.
“It was a blessing to host the Berrien County Clerks’ Association today at the Capitol,” Paquette said. “They are often the first person one contacts when reaching out to their local government. It was a privilege to not only tap into their wisdom, but learn about the issues impacting their ability to serve residents.”
Among the clerks in attendance today were:
- Kristie Aubrey from the Berrien County Clerk’s Office;
- Holley Tourangeau from Berrien Township;
- Jenna Balos from Buchanan Township;
- Paula Dudiak and Barb Anderson from Chikaming Township;
- Linda Casperson and Amanda Barnett from the City of Niles;
- Christa Townsend and Melanie Marvin from the City of Watervliet;
