Today, the Michigan House of Representatives passed HB 4437, and with it, fulfilled its constitutional obligation to appropriate funding for the upcoming fiscal year.
Representative Bill G. Schuette (R-Midland) stated: “Together, in bipartisan fashion with Senators Kristen McDonald Rivet and Roger Hauck, we worked to obtain $40 million for Midland’s flood reduction plan.”
Schuette continued: “This investment is a crucial step forward in our efforts to reduce the frequency and severity of flooding in Midland. This action will help protect hundreds of families, small businesses and the headquarters of one our state’s largest hospital systems from damaging floods. I am a District-focused State Representative.”
