State Rep. Bryan Posthumus today invited people in the community to take part in an open discussion at his upcoming local office hours.
Rep. Posthumus will be available on Thursday, Sept. 16 from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. at Aunt Belle’s Kitchen, located at 8451 Belding Rd NE in Rockford and from 10 to 11 a.m. at New Beginnings Restaurant, located at 5200 Northland Drive NE in Plainfield.
Rep. Posthumus represents Michigan’s 73rd District, which includes East Grand Rapids, the townships of Cannon, Courtland, Grand Rapids, Oakfield, Plainfield and Spencer.
Residents may reach out to the representative’s office with any questions by calling (517) 373-0218 or sending an email to [email protected].
Rep. Posthumus speaks on the House floor Thursday, saying the third-of-a-billion dollar public safety package approved by the House will focus on the recruitment, retention and well-being of public safety professionals.
Rep. Posthumus says the veto of his HB 5404 late Friday, which would have created the Student Opportunity Scholarship program in Michigan, is not surprising, as he says his efforts to help families and students also threatened entrenched interests.
