State Rep. Luke Meerman (R-Coopersville) invites residents to attend his office hours in Kent City on Saturday, July 15.
Local office hours are an opportunity for residents to meet one-on-one with Rep. Meerman to discuss issues affecting the state, ask questions about state government, and request assistance with issues they are experiencing. No appointment is necessary, and all are welcome to attend.
The meeting will take place from 10 to 11 a.m. at the Red Rock Grille located at 228 N. Ball Creek Road NW in Kent City.
Those unable to attend Rep. Meerman’s office hours may contact his Lansing office to share concerns at (517) 373-0838 or [email protected].
“The innocent lives of the unborn are threatened by the passage of Proposal 3 and this bill package goes even further than what Michigan voters approved in November,” Meerman said. “The mislabeled ‘Reproductive Health Act’ not only eliminates health and safety standards in abortion clinics, it also removes protections that ensure women are not coerced into receiving an abortion.”
“The governor’s radical energy policy comes at a time when Michiganders are forced to tighten their budgets and brace for rising costs everywhere form the grocery store to the fuel pump. The timeline laid out by the governor and Lansing Democrats is untenable and will come at a cost to our economy, agricultural production, and the authority of local governments.”
