State Rep. Jaime Greene this week was honored to help lead the people of Richmond in singing “God Bless America” to celebrate Memorial Day.
“It was a privilege to join the people of our community in honoring those who gave their lives in service to our country,” said Greene (R-Richmond).
Greene also recognized Chief Master Sgt. Jeffrey Yelenich, Command Chief of the 110th Wing of the Michigan Air National Guard, who gave moving testimony about the need to honor the brave American soldiers who have given their lives to defend our freedoms.
“We owe an unpayable debt of gratitude to those who laid down their lives in defense of liberty,” Greene said. “Memorial Day is a reminder of their sacrifice, and it gives us the opportunity to come together to demonstrate our deep appreciation.”
