State Rep. Jaime Greene this week joined the 507th National Guard Engineer Battalion at the D-A Ranch to witness their involvement in the Innovative Readiness Training program. 

“Hands-on projects are the only way we can build true readiness in our troops and prove that they are stress-tested,” said Greene (R-Richmond). “They need opportunities to develop and showcase their skills in the real world. Through initiatives like Innovative Readiness Training, we’re setting our soldiers up for success.” 

In partnership with the Michigan Crossroads Council, the program connects platoons with projects that provide practical training opportunities for soldiers while addressing important community needs. 

“These projects reinforce the teamwork, leadership, and problem-solving skills our soldiers rely on,” Greene said. “The dedication these platoons demonstrated is inspiring, and their work will leave a lasting impact on the community.”
