This week, the governor expanded her stay-at-home order. Having read it in full, I know the Legislature made the right decision to limit her authority to 23 days compared to the 70 days she asked us for.
Rep. Jim Lilly was first elected to the Michigan House of Representatives in November 2016. He represents the 89th District, which includes the townships of Grand Haven, Olive, Park, Port Sheldon, Robinson, Blendon, Crockery and Spring Lake, and the cities of Ferrysburg and Grand Haven.
Rep. Jim Lilly serves as vice chair of the newly created House Ways and Means Committee, and as a member the Government Operations Committee.
Lilly, a graduate of West Ottawa High School, received his bachelor’s degree in Economics and Finance from John Carroll University. He is also a graduate of the Stonier Graduate School of Banking and the Wharton Executive Leadership Program. Jim is currently pursuing his master’s in Business Administration at Grand Valley State University
Lilly was Vice President and Commercial Banking Team Leader, at Macatawa Bank in 2012-2016. He previously worked as Relationship Manager at The Bank of Holland, Corporate Banking Officer at National City Bank, and Key Corporate and Investment Banking analyst at Key Bank.

Lilly is a member of the Board of Directors at Lakeshore 504, and has previously been president at Holland Area Arts Council, Fund Development Director at Holland Young Professionals, and president at Holland Professional Club.
Jim and his wife Sarah, a realtor, live in Park Township.
