State Rep. Eric Leutheuser, R-Hillsdale, welcomed Hal March, a certified public accountant and Hillsdale resident, as his guest to tonight’s State of the State address at the Capitol. The speech was Rep. Leutheuser’s third as state representative of Hillsdale and Branch counties.
State Rep. Eric Leutheuser was first elected to serve the 58th District in November 2014. The 58th District covers Branch and Hillsdale counties.
Leutheuser serves as the chair of the House Commerce and Trade Committee. He is also a member of the Workforce and Talent Development, Regulatory Reform and Financial Liability Reform committees.
Leutheuser earned a bachelor’s degree in Political Economy from Hillsdale College.
Eric Leutheuser has worked at Leutheuser Buick GMC for over 30 years, serving as General Manager and Dealer-Operator since 1986. He was elected by his peers to Buick’s National Dealer Council.

A lifelong resident of Hillsdale, Rep. Leutheuser has been involved in his community as an officer of the Hillsdale County Community Foundation, Hillsdale City Planning Commission, Economic Development Commission and the Rotary Club of Hillsdale.
Eric and his wife Laura have been married 29 years and have three daughters and five granddaughters.
