Rep. Reilly applauds GM’s Orion Assembly Plant investment

Today, General Motors announced plans to expand production at the Orion Assembly Plant in Lake Orion, which will add 400 jobs and create $300 million in investments at the location.

State Rep. John Reilly of Oakland Township commended the investment and expressed his optimism for the community following the announcement.

“I was happy to join General Motors today as they shared the great news about investing in our community,” Rep. Reilly said. “In adding 400 jobs and investing hundreds of millions of dollars in Lake Orion, General Motors continues to prove they are committed to their partnership with our community. I am also excited to see the technological advancements scheduled to take place at Orion Assembly as they plan to build a new electric vehicle based on the Chevrolet Bolt EV, which is currently built at the plant.”
