RELEASE|November 1, 2019

State Rep. Jack O’Malley, of Lake Ann, will join state Rep. Greg Markkanen, of Hancock, to meet with road commissions from Houghton and Baraga counties for a discussion on funding options to repair areas devastated by the 2018 Father’s Day Flood.

“As chairman of the House Transportation Committee, I take infrastructure issues like the ones happening in Copper Country very seriously,” Rep. O’Malley said. “I’m proud to join Rep. Markkanen in his fight to bring attention to these damages and secure the funds necessary to fix them.”

The representatives will join the Houghton Road Commission to tour the damage and conduct site visits to Old Mill Hill, Coles Creek Road, and Paradise Road from 10:30 a.m. to noon.

For more information on the site visits, please contact Rep. O’Malley’s office at (517) 373-0825 or email him at [email protected].
