State Rep. Steve Marino, of Harrison Township, has been named chair of the Michigan House of Representatives Commerce and Tourism Committee for the 2019-20 session.

Marino was also appointed to serve as vice chair of the Local Government and Municipal Finance Committee as well as a member of the committees on Elections and Ethics, and Military, Veterans and Homeland Security.

He also emphasized that his committee assignments work hand-in-hand to make Michigan a better place to live and raise a family.

“It’s an honor to serve on these committees that matter so much to the people of Michigan,” Marino said. “I look forward to working with my fellow committee members, Republican and Democrat, to craft thoughtful solutions for our residents.”
