Rep. Lower resolution protects the unborn

State Rep. James Lower today introduced a resolution calling for the protection of life by preserving legal safeguards for unborn children in Michigan. The resolution also calls for recognition of any abortion as a tragic loss of human life.

Lower said history will measure Michigan by how well it protects its most vulnerable residents.

“We must speak up for those who cannot speak for themselves, especially the unborn,” said Lower, of Cedar Lake. “By approving this resolution the Michigan House of Representatives has the opportunity to affirm and defend the sanctity of life, from beginning to end.”

“All life is important. There is no known medical reason for an unborn baby to be killed in the third trimester of gestation,” Lower said.  “Life should be protected from this action before or during the course of a delivery.”
