Rep. Kahle: Downtown Adrian awarded grant to help with COVID-19 economic recovery
RELEASE|June 15, 2020

Rep. Bronna Kahle today announced the Adrian Downtown Development Authority has been awarded a grant to help the community and its job providers rebound from the COVID-19 shutdown.

The $49,984 grant can be used to help eligible small businesses support payroll expenses, rent or mortgage payments, utilities, COVID-19 relief or other similar expenses. The grant comes from the Michigan Economic Development Corporation’s Match on Main – COVID-19 Response Program.

The grant to the Adrian Downtown Development Authority is expected to assist 22 local businesses.

“COVID-19 has affected our lives and livelihoods in ways we could never have imagined three months ago,” said Kahle, of Adrian. “This grant program is one of the many ways the state is working to help our community heal and our economy recover.”
