State Rep. Pamela Hornberger today announced that $200,000 is headed to St. Clair County to support the Hough Road bridge project in Riley Township.
“This is another step in bringing home more support for road and bridge repairs without raising taxes,” said Hornberger, of Chesterfield Township. “I’m glad we were able to keep working and secure this much-needed funding.”
Senate Bill 150 – signed into law by the governor – ensures the Michigan Enhancement Grant will support the St. Clair County Road Commission project.
The money for the bridge repairs had been included in a bill signed into law in December, but follow-up legislation was needed to ensure the grant is allocated.
Hornberger represents the 32nd District in the Michigan House, which includes portions of St. Clair and Macomb counties.
