Rep. Hauck helps Union Township secure safety improvements to intersection
RELEASE|April 25, 2019

State Rep. Roger Hauck today announced traffic safety improvements requested for Isabella Road at M-20 (Pickard) have been approved by state transportation officials.

Rep. Hauck worked with Union Township to submit a request to the Michigan Department of Transportation for a left turn traffic light signal at the intersection.

Hauck, who worked at Delfield Manufacturing prior to his legislative duties in Lansing, commented that leaving the facility without a green arrow designated for the left turn lane was dangerous for drivers. The improvements to the intersection will help with roadway safety.

“This traffic light is important for the safety of Union Township drivers, and I look forward to seeing improvements to the intersection in the next few months,” said Hauck, of Union Township.  “Adding a left turn signal will help reduce the number of car accidents and will better protect our families.”

Construction for the light will begin in the coming months and is planned to be completed this summer.
