House Health Policy Committee Chair Rep. Hank Vaupel, talks about a six-bill package, which includes his own legislation, to expand the definition of telemedicine in Michigan. Rep. Vaupel says allowing patients to communicate with a physician remotely from home will increase access to health care. Referencing COV-19, Rep. Vaupel says an additional benefit of telemedicine is that a patient does not have to visit a doctor’s office in person. The legislation will be reviewed in Health Policy on Thursday.
