House Health Policy Committee Chairman Rep. Hank Vaupel talks about SB 228, which establishes a 27-member state Suicide Prevention Commission. Rep. Vaupel says a spike in the rate of suicides is a significant Michigan health concern that spans demographics. The bill was reported out of Health Policy this past week and has now moved to the House Ways and Means Committee.
