Rep. Vaupel talks about House adoption Tuesday of his House Resolution 93, which calls on the federal government to repeal the Medicaid exemption rule that prohibits Medicaid dollars from being used for inmates in prison or jail. Rep. Vaupel says there is a costs savings to be had, and adds that repealing the rule would provide greater continuity of care after a prisoner has been released back into society.
