State Rep. Kathy Crawford of Novi hosted next to 50 community members for a town hall meeting this past week to discuss upcoming changes to the state’s car insurance system. Joining Rep. Crawford was special guest Speaker Pro Tempore Jason Wentworth of Clare, who serves as chair of the House Select Committee on Reducing Car Insurance Rates.

“It was fantastic to see so many people engaged and wanting to learn more about the recent reforms to the car insurance system,” Rep. Crawford said. “I appreciated Chair Wentworth joining us and adding valuable insight to the discussions.”

Rep. Crawford and her guests provided an update on recent auto insurance changes signed into law and the panel fielded questions regarding how the new law will impact Oakland County residents on Monday, Oct. 28 at the Novi Civic Center.
