State Rep. Kathy Crawford of Novi today introduced House Resolution 99 to declare May 15, 2019 as Older Michiganians Day in the state of Michigan.

“As a longtime advocate of senior citizens’ rights, I am privileged to introduce this resolution,” Rep. Crawford said. “Over 1.9 million Michiganians age 60 and over deserve our utmost respect and gratitude for their many contributions in our communities across the state.”

Rep. Crawford explained how older Michigananians are vital members of our society and are active supporters of Michigan’s economy, workforce, charities, religious institutions, local communities and entities of government.

“They contribute immensely to the growth and betterment of Michigan and will continue to shape our residents’ lives for future generations to come,” Rep. Crawford continued. “They are truly a foundation upon which we can build a better tomorrow.”
