Rep. Cole announces significant investments to improve district infrastructure
RELEASE|January 29, 2019

State Rep. Triston Cole of Mancelona announced today that East Jordan and Gaylord will receive over $3 million to enhance infrastructure.

A total of 11 cities, towns, and villages statewide were granted funds from the Community Development Block Grant Program.

“Many communities in Northern Michigan have been suffered from crippling weather conditions that has taken a toll on our infrastructure,” Cole said.  “East Jordan and Gaylord have done an excellent job making our region a destination for families, business, and tourism. I am pleased to have investments like these further our growth and strengthen our community.”

The money will be used to resolve deficiencies and increase reliability through enhancing capacity for water, sewer, storm and street infrastructure. Gaylord will receive funding to replace and upgrade outdated water and sewer facilities.
