Rep. Berman tapped for leadership role on regulatory committee
RELEASE|January 17, 2019

State Rep. Ryan Berman was appointed this week by Speaker Lee Chatfield to serve as vice chair of the House Committee on Regulatory Reform.

The committee is tasked with deliberation on various regulatory issues in Michigan including liquor, gaming, lottery, occupational regulation, construction, administrative rules and other issues.

“My work as a general practice attorney provides me with a breadth of knowledge on a range of regulatory issues facing Michigan families and businesses. I am grateful for the opportunity to put these skills to work,” Berman, of Commerce Township, said. “I look forward to working with my fellow committee members to make sure Michigan remains the best place to live, work, and raise a family.”

Berman, serving his first term in the Michigan House of Representatives, will also serve as a member of the Judiciary, Financial Services and Insurance committees.
