RELEASE|October 14, 2019

Nancy Wolanin, president of Midland County Foster Closet, will be featured on the next episode of ‘Hometown Heroes’ with Rep. Annette Glenn.

Midland County Foster Closet is a 100% volunteer-operated nonprofit organization focused on reducing the strain on children and families in the foster system. MCFC solicits donations from the community for items that can make this transition easier, such as new and gently used footwear, clothing, and other necessities.

“I am so grateful to Nancy and her team for the hard work they do in our community,” Glenn said. “The initial transition period is a key time in any foster family. The services provided by the Midland County Foster Closet helps reduce emotional and financial stress, allowing the parents to focus on the more immediate needs of the child. Their passion for helping the foster families and children in our area is truly commendable.”

The episode featuring Wolanin and Midland County Foster Closet airs Tuesday, Oct. 15 at 12:30 and 7 p.m., Wednesday, Oct. 16 at 3:30 a.m., and Thursday, Oct. 17 at 2:30 and 6:30 a.m. on Charter Spectrum channel 191 or U-Verse channel 99.
