MIOSHA COVID-19 emergency rules
RELEASE|May 6, 2021

When MIOSHA put their COVID-19 emergency workplace safety rules in place last October, they said these rules were to help stop the spread of the virus and keep workers safe. Now, the governor and MIOSHA are trying to make their COVID-19 emergency rules permanent.

Over the past year, thousands of Michigan businesses have permanently closed their doors and thousands of jobs have been lost for good. Making these temporary workplace rules permanent even after the virus is gone will be a tremendous burden for those businesses who managed to survive. Michigan workers and job providers deserve better.

Make your voice heard and speak up against Gov. Whitmer’s endless emergency! The information you provide below will be sent directly to the department on your behalf as public comment.

Under the proposed rules, job providers and workers would have to adhere to many emergency workplace rules permanently. Read the full list of proposed rules here.
