Rep. Steve Johnson, R-Wayland; audio on state campground preference for Michigan residents.
RELEASE|July 15, 2019
Rep. Johnson talks about his HB 4519, which would require the state Department of Natural Resources to provide a two-week window for Michigan residents to make reservations at a state park or forest before opening up reservations to out-of-state residents. The Representative says the people who paid for the facilities should have a preference. The legislation is pending in the House Natural Resources and Outdoor Recreation Committee.
