Rep. Kahle welcomes student as ‘Rep for a Day’
RELEASE|October 15, 2019

State Rep. Bronna Kahle welcomed Emily Rowan, a first-grade student at Lincoln Elementary School in Hudson to the state Capitol today. Emily was the winner of Rep. Kahle’s summer reading contest and was invited to serve alongside the representative as a ‘Rep for a Day’. Emily had the opportunity to attend two committee hearings, meet with visitors from the Adrian Senior Center who visited the Capitol, and sit alongside Rep. Kahle on the House floor during session.

Rep. Kahle worked with several libraries and organizations over the summer to provide a reading contest designed to encourage students to read throughout their summer break.

“I’m so pleased with the number of Lenawee students who chose to participate in this summer’s reading contest,” Kahle said. “Reading through the summer helps students retain and improve upon the hard work they’ve accomplished through the school year, and a love for reading will benefit our students their entire lives.”
