Rep. Phil Green of Millington – a member of the House Appropriations Committee — issued the following statement today:
“In Lansing today, we held an important committee hearing related to the ‘green ooze’ contamination in Madison Heights off I-696. The same owner has property in Sanilac County. We are discussing how state departments can better work with local communities to keep them updated and involved any time a situation like this arises.
“We remain committed to providing a clean, healthy environment for our children and our children’s children.”
