Rep. Filler joins governor for ceremonial signing of e-filing bill

RELEASE|August 21, 2019

State Rep. Graham Filler today participated in a ceremonial signing of the law he sponsored to preserve Michigan’s electronic court document filing system. The MiFile system allows documents to be filed electronically with courts across the state through one central portal. Since its implementation in 2016, the system has improved service to the public, increased access to courts and reduced costs for litigants. House Bill 4296 received unanimous support in the Legislature and was signed into law by Gov. Gretchen Whitmer on July 2, becoming Public Act 40 of 2019. It was the first piece of legislation sponsored by Filler to become law.
