


State Reps. Ron Robinson (R-Utica), who is chair of the Appropriations Subcommittee on Military and Veterans Affairs, and Alicia St. Germaine (R-Harrison Township), today celebrated the inclusion of funding the Selfridge Air National Guard Base in the final state budget.
The final state budget will include funding of $26 million for the Selfridge Air National Base in Macomb County.
“Selfridge is one of Michigan’s greatest strategic assets, and this funding shows our state’s strong commitment to its future,” said St. Germaine. “With the arrival of 21 new fighter jets, and a squadron of KC-46A Pegasus Refueling Tankers, it’s all systems go for Selfridge. The Selfridge base will grow and create jobs, support families, and strengthen our national defense. I’m proud to fight for this in Lansing and to stand with our community in securing this important funding. The sound of these fighter jets flying overhead will be powerful reminder of the Sounds of Freedom”
