Representative Schuette Presents Family of Al Vincent with State Tribute
On Monday, Feb. 13, State Representative Bill G. Schuette presented the family of the late Al Vincent and the Billings Township Fire Department with a state tribute honoring his more than 50 years of service to the department and celebrating a life dedicated to the community.
Schuette, of Midland, said it was his honor to present the award to Vincent’s family and that the final line of the tribute is fitting: “May Al’s family know the gratitude of the entire State of Michigan for his selfless and devoted service.”
Schuette thanked Tim Mester, who serves as Billings Township Supervisor, for having him at the township board meeting as well as Vincent’s family and the fire department for being on-hand for the presentation.
