State Rep. Doug Wozniak, R-Shelby Township, has been reappointed by Speaker Matt Hall to continue serving on the Uniform Law Commission (ULC), a nonpartisan organization that promotes consistency in state laws across the country.
The ULC drafts model legislation on issues where uniformity among states is beneficial, helping streamline legal processes, reduce conflicts between jurisdictions, and improve the clarity and fairness of state laws. Rep. Wozniak is a practicing attorney and has served on the commission since 2021.
“I’m honored to be reappointed to the Uniform Law Commission and continue working on policies that support consistency and fairness in our legal system,” Wozniak said. “The ULC plays a key role in shaping state laws that are clear, modern, and work well across state lines—especially in areas like business law, probate, and family law.”
Wozniak, who is a practicing attorney, has served on the commission since 2021. His legal background and legislative experience make him a strong advocate for Michigan’s interests as uniform laws are reviewed and developed.
