State Representative Doug Wozniak, R-Shelby Township, released the following statement regarding the Governor’s State of the State address Wednesday evening:

“The governor’s road plan falls short of Michigan’s needs,” said Wozniak, R-Shelby Township. “We need a solution that delivers quick and effective repairs to our local roads, not just a promise. On the other hand, Speaker Hall’s plan is a targeted, practical approach that directly benefits the residents of Macomb County and communities around the state.

“As the majority of people know, Michigan roads are in need of major renovation,” said Wozniak. “The governor’s plan doesn’t effectively address the severity of our road conditions, and it doesn’t direct funds where they are needed most. Hall’s plan ensures that more resources are directed toward fixing local roads and prioritizes the most damaged areas. His plan will have a real impact on our infrastructure, not just for Macomb County, but for the entire state of Michigan.”
