State Rep. Mark Tisdel today announced he will visit seven small businesses and local franchises in downtown Rochester this Thursday, the first day of his Greater Rochester small-business tour.
“I am excited to learn more about the fine work these businesses and their employees are doing in our community,” said Tisdel, of Rochester Hills. “The Greater Rochester area is home to many terrific, local job providers, but the normally thriving small-business scene has been hampered by the pandemic and government restrictions. I want to make sure these businesses can continue to succeed and provide quality jobs long into the future.”
Tisdel will visit the following Rochester businesses on the first round of the tour:
- Tonia’s Victorian Rose,
- Red Knapp’s,
- Arterra Realty,
- Paint a Miracle,
- Rochester Bike Shop,
- Pure Barre, and
- Bellissima Bridal Salon.
Tisdel’s small-business tour will continue next week with several additional stops in Greater Rochester. The 45th House district, which Tisdel represents, includes the cities of Rochester and Rochester Hills and part of Oakland Township.
Any business interested in hosting Tisdel on the tour can submit a request through the online form here.
In a bipartisan vote, state Rep. Mark Tisdel and the Michigan House of Representatives today approved the Unlock Michigan citizens’ initiative to remove an unconstitutional law and help ensure a well-functioning government even during emergencies.
Rep. Tisdel talks about Wednesday’s House passage of the Unlock Michigan citizens’ petition that repeals the 1945 law used as a source of gubernatorial authority in 2020 during the COVID pandemic, saying the Governor brought the repeal upon herself.
