House Appropriations Committee Chairman Rep. Thomas Albert talks about committee passage Wednesday of legislation devoting almost a third of a billion dollars to improving public safety in Michigan. Rep. Albert says the plan focuses on retention and recruitment of law enforcement, and includes $10 million for school resource officers, and could pass the full House as early as Thursday.
