Rep. Steve Johnson, R-Wayland; audio on committee passage of transparency legislation
RELEASE|June 9, 2022
House Oversight Committee Chair Rep. Steve Johnson talks about Committee passage Thursday of a series of bills that update Michigan’s Freedom of Information law by better defining “business days” as being Monday-Friday, limiting government agencies from bringing up new reasons not to disclose information during appeals and identifying public contacts. The plan now moves to the full House.
