RELEASE|February 27, 2025
Contact: Ron Robinson

State Representative Ron Robinson, R-Utica, invited Sylvia Grot, Macomb County Commissioner, to the Governor’s State of the State Address on Wednesday evening.

“It was an absolute honor to have Commissioner Grot as my guest to the State of the State,” said Robinson, R-Utica. “Her commitment to serving our community with such passion and integrity is an example of her excellent leadership. She truly deserves recognition and respect for her work.

“Sylvia has been a force in Macomb County, fighting to maintain our roads and infrastructure.  As a member of the Appropriations Subcommittee on Transportation, I’m eager to work with talented local elected officials like Sylvia to secure the necessary funding for the roads, bridges, and sewers in our community,” said Robinson. “In her speech, the governor stressed the need for bipartisanship in state government. I agree. After the last two years, Michigan is begging to for a change. Michiganders have made that crystal clear. We will not return to uncompromising, one-size-fits all solutions of last term. Instead, I plan to work alongside my colleagues on both sides of the aisle to deliver commonsense solutions that provide real benefits for the people of Macomb County.”
