Rep. Mueller Leads the Way on Declaring National Public Safety Telecommunications Week

The House voted this week to adopt State Rep. Mike Mueller’s resolution commemorating the work of emergency response operators.

House Resolution 271 declares April 13-17, 2026, as National Public Safety Telecommunicators Week in the state of Michigan.

“This is a meaningful way to show our 911 operators that we are all grateful for their work,” said Mueller (R-Linden). “In an emergency, you need calm and collected voices to guide you through dangerous circumstances. Our operators are prepared to assist, and their work helps save lives. We will never be able to express the full extent of our gratitude for all they do. Declaring this week as National Public Safety Telecommunicators Week is the least we can do.”
