State Rep. Tom Kunse, R-Clare, is proud to send a reminder that the 3rd Annual Legislative Softball Game is just around the corner. Scheduled for Wednesday, June 4 at Jackson Field in Lansing, Kunse is joined by Rep. Alabas Farhat, D-Dearborn, in the bipartisan charity event that brings lawmakers together for a good cause and some friendly competition.

“The past two years have been incredible,” said Rep. Kunse. “They were filled with laughter, teamwork, and making real impact. This game gives us a chance to set politics aside and come together to support a meaningful cause. It’s a great reminder that when we work together, we can do something truly special.”

This year proceeds from the game will go to Leader Dogs for the Blind, a Michigan-based nonprofit that provides guide dogs and training to individuals who are blind or visually impaired.

“We’re honored to partner with Leader Dogs for the Blind this year,” Kunse said. “Their mission is life changing. The independence and confidence they help provide to those living with vision loss is inspiring.”

“It’s exciting to see this game grow into a real tradition at the Capitol,” said Rep. Alabas Farhat, D-Dearborn. “Beyond the fun on the field, it’s an opportunity to spotlight the work of an outstanding Michigan organization. Leader Dogs for the Blind is transforming lives, and I’m grateful we can rally support in such a unique and collaborative way.”
