Rep. Kahle appointed chair of House Health Policy Committee
RELEASE|January 21, 2021

State Rep. Bronna Kahle, of Adrian, has been appointed by House Speaker Jason Wentworth to serve as chair of the House Health Policy Committee.

“I am honored by this assignment because it has such broad potential to help others in a positive, meaningful way. I will continue to listen and work hard for the people of Lenawee County, as I lead efforts to improve access to better care for all Michigan residents,” Kahle said. “Over the past year, our state battled COVID-19 and its impact on every facet of our lives. As we are finally seeing hope on the horizon, we must work together to make way for a healthier Michigan.”

Before being elected to serve as state representative in 2016, Kahle served as director of the Adrian Senior Center and owned a small business that provided care to vulnerable members of her local community. She was also a member of the Lenawee Walk to End Alzheimer’s Committee.

The Health Policy Committee is responsible for deliberating on issues related to public health, health professionals, mental health and wellness, and overall access to health care.

In addition to serving as chair of the Health Policy Committee, Kahle will also serve as a member of the Judiciary and Insurance committees.
