Rep. O’Malley talks about final House passage Thursday of his HB 5291, part of a bipartisan two-bill package with the Senate creating the Maritime and Port Facility Assistance Grant Program within the Michigan Department of Transportation. The program is geared toward expansion and creation of public and private ports within the state. Rep. O’Malley says the plan will make Michigan more competitive with the other Great Lakes states in national and international commerce.
