Today, the Michigan House of Representatives and Speaker Matt Hall announced that State Representative Mike Hoadley will Chair the Michigan House Economic Competitiveness Committee for the 2025-2026 legislative term.
Hoadley, a small business owner, worked as a customer relations manager for Darton Archery and later was the co-owner of Hunters Niche Inc., a traditional archery manufacturing and supply business in Iosco County.
“There have been many challenges facing our hardworking small business owners over the past few years,” said Hoadley, of Au Gres. “To secure a more prosperous future, Michigan must remain economically competitive – not only against neighboring states but also on the global stage, where countries like China are rapidly advancing. State government also must listen to small business owners and work as a good partner on their behalf, not hamstring them with the burdensome regulation and overreach that we have seen.
“By investing in innovation and workforce development, we can ensure Michigan continues to be considered as a home for business and fertile ground for job opportunities. I am thankful for this opportunity to serve and I am eager to get to work.”
In addition to Economic Competitiveness Chair, Hoadley was also named as a member of the House Election Integrity Committee, the House Natural Resources and Tourism Committee, and the House Regulatory Reform Committee.
