State Rep. Mike Harris today invited residents of north-central Oakland County to schedule a meeting ahead of his office hours, which will take place on Wednesday, Aug. 2.
Harris, R-Waterford will host meetings with constituents between 1 and 2:30 p.m. in the Business Center at the Waterford Township Library, 5168 Civic Center Drive in Waterford. Harris looks forward to meeting directly with people in the community to hear their thoughts and concerns, discuss his work in the state Capitol, and offer assistance with state government issues.
Constituents may reserve a time slot by emailing their name, home address, and contact information to Harris’ office at [email protected].
Constituents can also share their perspectives or seek assistance by calling Harris’ office at 517-373-0828 or emailing [email protected].
Harris represents the 52nd House District, which includes the Lake Angelus, Clarkston, Independence Township, and portions of Springfield and Waterford townships.
“These shocking revelations set off alarm bells about Chair Witwer’s business ties and possible conflicts of interest, and they clearly illustrate the need for greater transparency and stronger ethical standards in Michigan government,” said Harris, R-Waterford.
“Countless Michiganders carry concealed weapons to defend themselves and their families, and unelected commissioners shouldn’t unilaterally take that right away in the Capitol that belongs to the people of our state,” said Harris, R-Waterford.
