Rep. Mike Harris, R-Waterford, this week helped organize a tour of a Clarkston area business for high school students interested in skilled trades.
A Clarkston High School class toured Northern Concrete Pipe Inc., learning about how precast concrete products are manufactured.
“Michigan faces a severe skilled trades worker shortage – and it must be addressed,” Harris said. “Tours like this are just one example of how we can help kids explore future career opportunities that will benefit their families and the local economy for years to come.”
Harris also supports Going PRO and other programs that help develop skilled workers and create economic opportunities across Michigan.
