State Rep. Jaime Greene will serve as Republican Vice Chair of the House Education Committee during the 2023-24 legislative session. She will also serve on the Energy, Communications and Technology; and Government Operations committees.
“I am honored to help shape public policy on education issues, and in particular will strongly advocate for parents to have a vital role in their children’s schooling,” said Greene, R-Richmond. “It’s clear that parents should have more choices when it comes to their child’s education, and I look forward to being a voice for both students and their parents.”
Greene, a military veteran, also looks forward to working on energy, communications and technology issues. As a U.S. Navy cryptologist, Greene was responsible for ensuring the security of military communications.
The first-term legislator represents the 65th District, which includes portions of Macomb, St. Clair and Lapeer counties.
