State Rep. Andrew Fink has introduced a House resolution condemning recent attacks on crisis pregnancy centers.
Crisis pregnancy centers provide expecting mothers with certain medical services such as ultrasounds, pregnancy tests, education, information about adoption, and pregnancy counseling.
Over the past few months, crisis pregnancy centers in Washington, Texas, Wisconsin, Oregon, Virginia, Maryland, New York, and Washington, D.C. have been vandalized or destroyed by pro-choice protestors, preventing mothers from receiving help with their pregnancy from these centers.
“It is crucial to provide crisis pregnancy services to women and babies across the country,” Fink said. “Many pro-life organizations offer pregnancy resources that give women the support they need to choose to keep their babies and live happy and fulfilling lives. Not only do these attacks illegally destroy property, but they also risk people’s lives and livelihoods as well as interrupt vital services to women in need of their help.”
The resolution is HR 317.
