Rep. Martin, a U.S. Force veteran and an active member of the Michigan Volunteer Defense Force, speaks on the House floor Thursday in support of HR 47. The measure calls on the National Guard Bureau to immediately end the food contract for the Michigan National Guard members deployed to the U.S. Capitol in January and provide a backdated per diem food allowance to the start of the mobilization.
