State Rep. Triston Cole of Mancelona today issued the following statement in response to questions about the integrity of Michigan’s presidential election:

“Nothing is more sacred to our democracy than making sure our elections are safe and secure. Every single election worker and local clerk must follow state law and make sure every vote cast in accordance with our election laws is counted.

“It’s equally important that our election process is conducted transparently and that people with questions and concerns get the answers they deserve. That’s why the House and Senate oversight committees will be meeting Saturday to begin looking into the voting and counting process in our state and getting answers to the many questions people have about the issues in Antrim County and the TCF Center in Detroit.”
