State Rep. Karl Bohnak, R-Deerton, this summer was proud to host his small-town office hours tour. Bohnak visited small towns throughout the Alger County for important conversations about local issues and state government. Stops included The Breakwall in Grand Marais, Trenary Tavern in Trenary, Rock River Twp. Hall in Chatham, and North Woods Outpost in Au Train.
“The best part of my job is going out into our communities and talking with the people that keep the lights on in the U.P.,” Bohnak said. “Very few people can come down to Lansing to see their state government in action. In fact, way too many people don’t even have the connectivity to watch their state government remotely from home. That’s why we hosted this small town tour. Every resident, even those who live in the smallest towns and most rural places, deserves access to their elected officials. I’m glad we could give folks an opportunity to get an update on what’s happening in Lansing, ask questions, and offer their own insight into what they want from their state government.”
