State Rep. Matthew Bierlein, of Vassar, is reminding interested individuals across the 97^th House District of a summer photo contest hosted by his legislative office. 

Submissions can be emailed to [email protected] through Sept. 4. Each submission should include the name, address and contact information of the participant, as well as the date the photo was taken and where it was taken within the district.

“We had some terrific winter photos for our contest earlier in the year and I can’t wait to see the many pictures of our area from the summer months when the beauty of our state is on full display,” Bierlein said. “From parades, lakes, sunsets and much more, there are a ton of memories and sceneries to capture across our communities.”

The winning photographer will be invited for a personal tour of the Capitol with Rep. Bierlein and have their photograph framed and displayed in his office.

The 97^th House District encompasses several communities in Bay, Genesee, Saginaw and Tuscola counties. The district includes Freeland, the cities of Auburn, Caro, Frankenmuth, Vassar and part of Montrose, and the villages of Birch Run and Millington. A full map can be found here.
